Raindare Privacy Policy

Updated 15 October 2026

Raindare is made by Sailfish Machine and is currently in development. This policy describes the current app, including its Apple Watch companion. We will update this page as its data handling changes.

Your saved routine

Your selected place and coordinates, walk names and times, walking duration, routine days, departure flexibility and reminder preference are stored locally on your device. Raindare does not require an account or send your routine to a developer-operated server. You can edit your routine in the app. Removing the app removes its local app data; device backups are managed by your Apple settings.

Place lookup and weather

When you search for a town or address, the search text is sent to Apple’s MapKit service to find that place. Its coordinates are saved for forecasts. The current app uses a manually selected place and does not request your device’s current location or background location.

Raindare sends the selected coordinates to Apple WeatherKit to obtain forecasts, including when you use its Watch companion or Shortcuts. Forecasts are held in memory; Raindare does not build a location history. Apple services may process technical request information to provide their services. Their handling of information is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

Apple Watch

Raindare transfers your saved routine, including your chosen place and coordinates, from iPhone to your paired Apple Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. The Watch stores the routine locally and requests its own forecasts from Apple WeatherKit.

Reminders, Siri and Shortcuts

Morning reminders are optional. If you enable them, Raindare asks for notification permission and schedules reminders locally on your device. There is no developer push-notification server. You can turn reminders off in the app or manage notification permission in system Settings.

When you invoke Raindare through Siri or Shortcuts, it reads your saved routine and requests weather to return advice. Your use of Siri and Shortcuts is also subject to Apple’s settings and privacy practices.

Analytics and advertising

Raindare has no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDK. Apple may provide developers with crash reports and diagnostics through Xcode or TestFlight according to your Apple sharing settings and testing choices.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond to your enquiry. Please avoid sending sensitive location or routine details unless they are needed to explain your question.
